If you want to offer services

If you are a local social enterprise, business or individual that provides support and services, the My Care My Choice Marketplace can be an effective way to advertise what you offer. It is designed for providers of services to promote themselves to people who either have a personal budget from the Council to meet their support needs, or self-funders who want to arrange support and pay for it themselves.

You can put an advert on the marketplace for free. But before you do, you should browse the marketplace and the various categories within it so you can choose those that are most appropriate for the support you offer. As you look around, you could also consider if there are any other services you could provide that fill a need for the people of Stockport.

If you wish to promote your organisation’s services on the website, the process for registering is different depending on whether you offer services requiring CQC registration or not.

All organisations must agree to the Terms & Conditions before you can place an advert.



For providers registered with the Care Quality Commission:

You need to complete the advert template and send this to asc.comms@stockport.gov.uk with a high quality logo attached. You can also send a photo or video to be displayed on your advert page if you wish (please make sure you have permission from any persons appearing in photos or videos).

For Residential and Nursing Homes

For providers offering services not regulated by the Care Quality Commission:

We ask providers that are not registered with CQC for some additional information for quality assurance purposes.

To advertise your organisation/service you must have the following in place:

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks carried out on all staff/volunteers that have contact with children and/or vulnerable adults and/or deal with sensitive information.
  • Public Liability insurance of at least £5,000,000 and Employee Liability insurance if applicable.
  • Complaints procedure

You need to complete the advert template and send this along with a copy of your complaints procedure and liability insurance, and your organisation logo, to asc.comms@stockport.gov.uk. You can also send a photo or video to be displayed on your advert page if you wish (please make sure you have permission from any persons appearing in photos or videos).
