What we offer
Making Space is a registered charity that was founded in 1982 to
provide support to individuals with severe mental ill health and
their families.
Tenancies at Holly Court are open to people with severe
mental health issues, who are capable of independent living, with
support available locally. They will therefore need to be
self-medicating and able to undertake their own shopping, cooking,
cleaning etc, albeit with assistance in some respects.
The scheme has two Tenant Support Workers (TSW) who are
employed to assist tenants in developing or sustaining their
tenancies and to live independently in their accommodation. They
can provide support with benefits and tenancy related paperwork,
liaison with other agencies, budgeting and bills, monitoring and
dietary advice.
The lettings procedure is intended to ensure that tenants will
accept and benefit from the accommodation and support services
offered and that their tenancy will not prove detrimental to their
well being, other tenants or the local community.
