E Card
The E Card is a great way of helping vulnerable people to stay safe when they are out and about in the community.
E Card
Greater Manchester Police have produced emergency contact
cards to help people with learning disabilities or other
conditions when dealing with 999 services.
The E Card is the size of a credit card, the front carries
the name of the person plus details of an emergency contact, while
the reverse provides information about any medical condition or
disability they may have. This will include details of any
support measures that are needed, for example help with
communication, maybe British Sign Language or interpreting
services.
For more information or to obtain a card, please phone 0161 856
2206 or email diversity@gmp.police.uk
If you need to contact the Police for non-emergency calls phone 0161 872 5050. Only use 999 in an emergency where life is threatened or a crime is being committed.
