Shopmobility

Shopmobility Stockport provides the use of manual and powered wheelchairs, scooters and sighted guides to help people with limited mobility or sight problems.

The equipment can be used by people to get around the borough to shop, visit attractions and use local facilities. It is available for people of all ages, whether their disability is temporary or permanent, and is for residents and visitors alike. In addition to this, trained sighted guides are available for people with sight problems, either to accompany you on foot or to push you in a wheelchair.

Please note that to use Shopmobility scooters, wheelchairs and sighted guide you will need to register as a member. Life membership costs just £15. Manual wheelchairs may be hired long-term or for just a day without registering but you will need two ID and a £100 deposit, plus the hire fee.
