Asian Heritage Centre

The Asian Heritage Centre currently operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays with plans to increase this in the future. The centre has been developed to meet the needs of Asian elders living in the Stockport area.

The centre is run by Individual Solutions SK and has a dedicated Asian Community Service Worker who can provide interpreter services into the following languages:

• Urdu
• Hindu
• Gujarati
• Panjabi
• English.

While at the centre a range of activities, events and information sessions are delivered in partnership with services such as NHS Stockport, Education, the Police and local charities and voluntary groups. Topics covered include:

• Bogus caller advice
• Benefits advise
• Healthy lifestyle information
• Information regarding services available in Stockport and how to access them.

The Adult Social Care Team is the first point of contact for all referrals and general enquiries. You can contact them from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday on 0161 217 6029.
